Photographer Erik Hagman began his career at the young age of fourteen, taking photographs for his hometown newspaper, Sala Allehanda. He studied at the School of Photography and Film at Gothenburg University and has worked as a photographer in New York, as well as assisting prominent photographers such as Frederik Lieberath, Terry Richardson, and Fabian Baron.
In addition to his photography work, Erik has also served as a lecturer at Beckmans College of Design. He finds inspiration in the sublime aspects of daily life and possesses a unique ability to capture the soulfulness of still objects and environments, giving his subjects a distinctive sense of uniqueness. Erik believes that often the most powerful imagery comes from the unaffected. For him, the greatest challenge as a photographer is to communicate the beauty of simplicity.
Erik also works as a visual artist. For more information, please visit his separate website at erikhagman.com
